Impact

Much of this work looks different on the surface—music, translation, and outreach—but I approach them as responses to the same problem: how distance shapes what people can access.

 

I think about impact not in terms of scale, but in whether something truly reaches someone and changes how they engage with it.

ReminArt — Sound-Based Cognitive Intervention

• Developed structured sessions using sound and interaction to elicit cognitive responses.

• Guided over 15 student volunteers in more than 10 dementia care sessions.

Translating Knowledge for Accessibility

• Translated and published UN FAO SDG materials into Korean, expanding access through national and school libraries.

• Preserving meaning while making global knowledge accessible across contexts.

Designing Accessible Humanitarian Systems

• Developed low-cost solar lighting and message-based footwear for resource-limited communities.

• Focused on translating unmet needs into tangible, deployable solutions.

Expanding Educational Access Through Tutoring

• Provided one-on-one English instruction over three years, improving academic outcomes for low-income students.  

Field Experience in Healthcare Delivery

• Participated in medical outreach in Mongolia, contributing to care delivery for 900+ patients.

• Gained firsthand understanding of how structured care translates into real-world outcomes.
